Lake Havasu City, Arizona
It is with a deep sense of sorrow, yet with great gratitude for her beautiful and fulfilling life, that we announce the passing of Kay Frances McCracken. Born on March 7, 1944, in Tacoma, WA, and drawn to her heavenly home on September 16, 2026, Kay was a loving and compassionate soul whose life touched many. A woman of Christian faith, she lived out the words of Proverbs 31:25, "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."
Kay was a woman of many roles and accomplishments. She was a thoughtful office manager in the construction industry before her retirement, a role through which her diligence and dedication shone. But above all, Kay was known for her love for her horse. Her compassion extended not just to people but to animals as well, and she found great joy in her equestrian pursuits. She was also a committed member of the Girl Scouts and the Mosanic lodges, through which she extended her passion for service and community. Kay’s residence in Lake Havasu City, Arizona was not just a home, but a sanctuary for her friends and family, who were the cornerstones of her life.
Kay was preceded in death by her beloved husband, and she is survived by her cherished niece, Erin Holst, and her dear friend, Teliza Washington. Both Erin and Teliza remember Kay as a beacon of love, light, and strength, whose memory will forever be etched in their hearts.
As we celebrate the life of Kay McCracken, we encourage her friends and family to visit her memorial page, share their memories, and upload photos that capture the essence of this remarkable woman. In this way, Kay's legacy will continue to inspire and influence all who knew and loved her.
