Joyce Taylor

–

Lake Havasu City, Arizona

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Joyce Taylor on October 9th, 2026. Born on April 16, 1946, Joyce was a loving and reliable pillar of our family, always there for us with a comforting word, reassuring smile, and unwavering support.

Joyce was known for her dedication, not only to her family but to her work as well. As Assistant Manager at Walmart for many years, Joyce was a hard worker, and her reliable nature earned her respect and admiration among her colleagues. She resided in Camarillo, California from 1970-1998 before moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona where she spent her remaining years. However, it was not Joyce's places of residence that defined her, but the love she carried for her family. In the words of Maya Angelou, "I sustain myself with the love of family." This was certainly true for Joyce who adored her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Joyce was the dedicated wife of Robert Taylor, with whom she shared a loving and committed marriage for sixty years. She is survived by her children Sandra Taylor and Jason Scott Taylor; her son-in-law Shawn (Sandra) Maxson; her brothers Ray, Richard, William, and Ron Raper. She was predeceased by her parents, John Raper and Mary Stevenson, and her brothers, Harry and George Raper.

Joyce's life was a testament to the beauty of dedication, love, and reliability. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we mourn her departure, let us remember the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."

We invite you to share your memories of Joyce, to celebrate her life and the love she shared. Please visit her memorial page to leave messages, share photos, and to remember the loving, dedicated, and reliable woman that was Joyce Taylor.
