Eloyce Kockler Obituary (1941 - 2025) - Lake Havasu City, Arizona

ELOYCE HUBBARD KOCKLER Eloyce Hubbard Kockler passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025 surrounded by her family. Eloyce was born in Archer, ID to Winton and Eva (Weekes) Hubbard on March 7, 1941. She attended numerous schools in Idaho and Montana and ultimately graduated from Helena High School. Eloyce worked at the Union Bank in Helena, MT where she met the love of her life. On June 4, 1960, Eloyce married Thomas Kockler in Santa Paula, California. They lived in Helena, Montana where they raised two boys, Greg and Mark. Eloyce was a certified Genealogist, and a Co-Founding member of the Helena Genealogy Society serving as Secretary and Vice President. She volunteered at the Montana Historical Society and Lewis and Clark County Clerk and Recorders Office. She served as Governor and Deputy Governor of the Society of Mayflower Decedents. Throughout her time in the Genealogical field, she published 5 books and fulfilled 245 Client Requests in the United States and Australia. Eloyce and Tom invested in rental properties peeking out with 28 units with her doing the book keeping, cleaning, and painting. In addition, they started house construction and established the Homestead Estates sub-division. In the early 1980’s, Tom and Eloyce founded and operated the Helena Ice Company until she retired in the late 1990’s. They moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ where they enjoyed sitting on the patio at night looking at the stars reflecting on life. Eloyce was an avid antique collector and enjoyed scrapbooking family memories. One of her favorite things to do was family game nights surrounding the dining table. Thomas and Eloyce enjoyed traveling with trips to Germany and England with the Friendship Force. During the trip to Germany, they were able to connect with distant relatives. They also took numerous family trips around the United States which provided the opportunity to expand knowledge of not only family history but American history. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Kockler and parents Winton and Eva Hubbard. She is survived by her son Greg (Terry) Kockler, son Mark (Renee) Kockler, grandchildren Krista Kockler, Kurt (Mandy) Kockler, Tamsyn Kockler, Danika Kockler, three great grandchildren, brother Bill (Vickie) Hubbard, and sister-in-law Kathy (Dick) Barney. A grave site service for Tom and Eloyce Kockler will be at Fort Harrison Cemetery on Friday, July 25th at 9:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Montana Historical Society.
