Doris Collins, a loving mother and a pillar of her community, passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 105. Born on June 4, 1921, Doris was a radiant soul who left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew her. She was compassionate, witty, and always had a kind word or a wise piece of advice to share. Doris was a woman who lived her life with great devotion, to both her family and her faith. As the novelist Barbara Kingsolver once said, "The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope."
Doris was a long-standing member of the Methodist Church, where she was actively involved in various church activities. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort to her, and she gently inspired those around her with her steadfast commitment and unwavering spirit. Doris lived in Corona from 1951 until 2025, and during that time, she became a cherished part of the community. Aside from her church activities, Doris enjoyed listening to audiobooks and cherished the simple pleasure of being outdoors, basking in the beauty of nature.
Doris was the beloved mother of Glenn, Dean, and Linda Collins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Collins; her dear son, Ron Collins; and her nephew, Leon Collins. Doris' family was her world, and her love for them was a testament to her kind and nurturing spirit. Her memory will forever be a beacon of love and compassion for her family to hold close.
As we bid farewell to Doris, we celebrate her life and the profound influence she had on those who were fortunate enough to know her. We invite you to share your memories and upload photos of Doris on her memorial page. Let us come together to celebrate a life so beautifully lived and remember a woman so deeply loved.
