Dolores Dee Evangeline Parker August 30, 1932 - May 29, 2024 With profound sadness, we announce the loss of Dolores Evangeline Parker, fondly known as Dee, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched. She left us peacefully on May 29, 2024, while surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on August 30, 1932, Dolores lived a long, full life marked by warmth, generosity, and an unyielding love for her family. She was the steady heartbeat of her family, creating a home full of love and laughter in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where she resided for about 30 years. Dolores was a master homemaker who turned her passion for cooking, shopping, and spending time with her children into an art form. Her home was not just a house; it was a place where everyone was welcomed with open arms and a warm meal. She was a dedicated member of the Elks Lodge and was always ready to lend a hand. Her travels, another of her many passions, took her from Watts, Ca., Southgate, Ca., Los Angeles, Ca., to Garden Grove, Ca., and finally to Lake Havasu City, Az. Each place she lived in was enriched by her presence and her ability to turn any house into a home. Dolores is survived by her husband of 74 years, Bertrand Parker, her sons Donald and Bertrand Jr., sisters Carol Young, Pam Semien, Cathy Runyen, and brother Lionel Ellsworth. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all who knew her as Dee, a woman of strength, compassion, and unending love. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Katie Ellsworth, daughters Judy Parker and Marsha Schiller, brothers Charles, Norman, Lawrence, and Jay Ellsworth, and sister Audrey Ontiverous. Dolores was a beacon of light in this world, and her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with, as well as those she has touched but may have never met.
