We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Alisha Ann Howell (Smith). She was born in Bakersfield, California, on May 27, 1980, and passed away on July 12, 2024. Alisha was an extraordinary woman whose life was marked by immense love, compassion, and a selfless spirit. Alisha was a beacon of love and compassion, always putting the needs of others before her own. Despite her own struggles, she was always ready to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, and a comforting shoulder to anyone in need. Her heart was big, and her spirit was even bigger. Alisha's life, though marked by challenges, was a testament to her resilience and determination. She turned her trials into lessons and always rose above her circumstances. Her strength was an inspiration to all who knew her. Alisha leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to live on through her beloved family. She is survived by her children, Thorne Mason, Nathaniel Perry, Shawn Adam, and Emily Adams. Alisha's love extended to her cherished grandchildren, Abby Anderson, and Saint Jackson. She was a loving sister to Cathy Smith, Joseph Smith, William Smith, Jay (Samantha) Smith, and Ottis Smith. Alisha also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember her fondly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Smith and Jay Crandell, as well as her sister, Tracy (Joseph) Moore. Alisha also joins her dear uncles, Jack (Norma) Smith and Virgil Smith, aunts Susie Crandell, Sue Smith, Linda Lawrence, Nancy Cunningham, Betty Waters, and grandparents, Dolly Crandell and Liona Smith in eternal rest. Alisha’s life was not defined by her struggles, but by her ability to remain loving and compassionate in the face of adversity. She was a force of goodness in this world, a light that shone brightly even on the darkest days. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her and will serve as a reminder of the importance of love, compassion, and selflessness.
